I have worked at EY, CGD, and Standard Bank Angola, with a significant part of my career in banking.

    Innovation and AI automation

    I am part of EY’s innovation team, collaborating nationally and internationally to turn manual processes into AI- and software-enabled solutions. I start by understanding each process, identifying where automation can create value, and taking the strongest ideas from experimentation into implementation.

  2. CGD

    Digital banking products and channels

    At CGD, I contributed to Caixadirecta, the bank’s mobile banking app, as well as other digital channels and internal products. I worked across the ecosystem, connecting business needs to technical delivery and supporting the bank’s wider digital experience.

  3. Standard Bank Angola

    Technical leadership and scalability

    At Standard Bank Angola, I led the team on an infrastructure scalability project. Together, we removed constraints that limited product growth and increased throughput and infrastructure capacity so the system could support more customers and handle greater demand reliably.

My background

My software engineering experience spans banking and consulting.

I’m Ruben Correia, a software engineer with experience at EY, CGD, and Standard Bank Angola. A significant part of my professional work has been in banking, where software has to fit established processes, controls, and teams.

I contribute to open source and bring the same engineering discipline to AI product work: I understand the problem, find where automation is worth using, and deliver software people can rely on.

I start with the process and use AI where it improves the result.
